The Council for the Arts is a pioneer in the art of the residency.
For more than 40 years, we have partnered with our local schools and their arts education professionals to bring artists of every medium to the schools. Whether it’s a week-long residency connecting elementary students with a Gullah performance group, or a month of video arts classes for our local Science magnet kids, we believe contact with professional artists enhance learning across the curriculum and inspire both the students and staff.
